
Radiology Tech- interventional radiology

As a Radiology Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients through various radiological procedures. - Perform radiological procedures: The Radiology Tech will be responsible for performing a variety of radiological procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging techniques as directed by physicians.
- Assist physicians: The Radiology Tech will work closely with physicians to assist them in diagnosing and treating patients using radiological procedures. This may include positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and providing the necessary tools and support during procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety: The Radiology Tech will be responsible for ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe during procedures. This may involve explaining procedures to patients, addressing their concerns, and monitoring their condition throughout the process.
- Maintain equipment: The Radiology Tech will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating radiological equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images. They will also be responsible for reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Record and maintain patient information: The Radiology Tech will accurately record and maintain patient information, including procedure details, patient history, and any adverse reactions or complications that may arise during procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols: The Radiology Tech will be responsible for following strict safety protocols and procedures to protect patients and themselves from potential hazards, such as radiation exposure.
- Communicate with healthcare team: The Radiology Tech will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to provide the best possible care for patients. They will also communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure they understand procedures and receive the necessary support and information.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments: The Radiology Tech will be responsible for staying current with advancements and changes in radiology technology and techniques, and implementing them in their work as appropriate.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor: The Radiology Tech will be expected to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, as they will be working closely with patients who may be in pain or distressed
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Interventional Radiology Procedures.
Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiography.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Radiation Safety And Patient Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Medical Staff And Other Healthcare Professionals.
