Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate and high-quality patient care to individuals in the emergency room setting.
2. Assist in triaging and assessing patients upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs, history, and chief complaints.
3. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians or advanced practice providers.
4. Monitor patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized patient care plans.
6. Assist in emergency procedures and treatments, including but not limited to wound care, splinting, and basic life support.
7. Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff in the emergency room.
9. Educate patients and their families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
10. Keep up-to-date with emergency protocols and procedures, and participate in ongoing education and training.
11. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the healthcare facility.
12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
13. Show empathy and provide emotional support to patients and their families during stressful situations.
14. Prioritize and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
15. Promote a positive and professional work environment by demonstrating teamwork and a strong work ethic.
16. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
