  1. Oversee all aspects of our liability claims process, including monitoring and evaluating claims, developing strategies for resolution, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective claims management.
  3. Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, risk management, and finance, to develop and implement risk management strategies and processes.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as insurance companies and legal counsel, to effectively manage claims and mitigate risk.
  5. Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and potential areas of risk, and make strategic recommendations for improvement.
  6. Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to liability claims management, ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines.
  7. Communicate with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to provide updates on the status of claims and any potential risks.
  8. Conduct regular audits of the liability claims process to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  9. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to liability claims management, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  10. Make strategic decisions under pressure, balancing the needs of the organization with the best interests of patients and communities.
  11. Ensure that all liability claims are managed in an ethical and financially sound manner, protecting the reputation and financial stability of the organization.
  12. Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of liability claims, including trends, costs, and potential areas of risk.
  13. Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on liability claims management, providing guidance and support to other departments as needed.
  15. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the liability claims team and the organization as a whole.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Managing Liability Claims In A Healthcare Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Malpractice And General Liability Insurance Policies.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.

  • Proven Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead A Team Of Claims Professionals And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Liability Claims, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Risk Management Strategies.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle Complex And High-Value Claims, Negotiate Settlements, And Mitigate Financial Risk For The Organization.
