  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the behavioral health department in alignment with the overall mission and goals of LifePoint Health.
  2. Provide leadership and direction to the behavioral health team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the behavioral health department, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
  4. Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance quality of care and patient satisfaction.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients with behavioral health needs.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and resources to enhance access to behavioral health services for patients.
  7. Stay informed about current trends and best practices in behavioral health and make recommendations for program enhancements or changes as needed.
  8. Manage the department budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  9. Mentor and develop staff, providing ongoing training and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  10. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to behavioral health services.
  11. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new staff, ensuring that the team is composed of highly qualified and compassionate individuals.
  12. Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, promoting a culture of integrity and respect within the department.
  13. Represent the behavioral health department and LifePoint Health in a positive and professional manner at community events and meetings.
  14. Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and compassionate manner, working to resolve issues and ensure a positive experience for all involved.
  15. Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the overall success of LifePoint Health.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Behavioral Health Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Mental Health Facility.

  • A Master's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Healthcare Administration.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Behavioral Health Regulations And Compliance Standards, As Well As Experience Working With Insurance Companies And Managed Care Organizations.

  • Proven Ability To Develop And Implement Strategic Plans To Improve Quality Of Care And Financial Performance Within A Behavioral Health Department.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams And Build Relationships With Community Partners And Stakeholders.
