- Lead and manage the Underwriting Workbench team within the GRS Tech division, ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions for underwriting processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve and innovate underwriting technology, in line with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, product, and IT, to identify and understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new underwriting technology solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in underwriting technology, and make recommendations for adoption of new tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology solutions.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the success and impact of underwriting technology initiatives, and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage the budget for the Underwriting Workbench team and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Represent the company and the Underwriting Workbench team at industry events and conferences, promoting the company's brand and technology capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to underwriting technology.
- Identify and address any potential risks or issues that may impact the success of underwriting technology initiatives, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and promote a positive work environment where all employees feel valued and supported.
Extensive Experience In Technology Leadership: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Senior Technology Leadership Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Technology Projects.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Underwriting And Insurance Industry: The Sr Director Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Underwriting Process And The Insurance Industry As A Whole. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Trends, Best Practices, And Emerging Technologies.
Strong Technical Background: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background, With Experience In Software Development, System Integration, And Data Management. They Should Also Be Familiar With Various Programming Languages, Database Management Systems, And Cloud Technologies.
