  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients to determine appropriate insurance coverage.
  2. Utilize expert knowledge of insurance industry and market trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather necessary information and data for risk evaluation.
  4. Analyze and interpret complex data to identify potential risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored risk management solutions.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in market conditions to ensure compliance and accuracy in underwriting.
  7. Review and approve underwriting decisions made by junior underwriters, providing guidance and support as needed.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to explain underwriting decisions and provide recommendations.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing insurance policies and make adjustments as needed.
  10. Participate in training and development initiatives to continuously improve underwriting skills and knowledge.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in underwriting.
  12. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network and promote our risk management solutions.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  14. Act as a mentor and coach to junior underwriters, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  15. Collaborate with other departments, such as Claims and Sales, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Business, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Analytical And Decision-Making Skills.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting, Preferably In The Insurance Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Risk Management Principles And Techniques.

  • Professional Certification Such As Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (Cpcu) Or Associate In Risk Management (Arm) Preferred.
