  1. Evaluate risk: Conduct thorough analysis of potential clients' risk profiles, financial statements, and industry trends to determine appropriate insurance coverage and pricing.
  2. Manage portfolio: Monitor and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including renewals and new business, to ensure profitability and growth.
  3. Provide expert guidance: Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in underwriting to provide guidance and support to team members and other departments within the organization.
  4. Maintain compliance: Adhere to all company and industry regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  5. Foster relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to promote customer satisfaction and retention.
  6. Analyze data: Utilize data analysis and underwriting tools to make informed decisions and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with team: Work closely with underwriting team members, as well as other departments such as claims and sales, to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
  8. Train and mentor: Provide training and mentorship to junior underwriters to support their professional development and enhance team capabilities.
  9. Identify and implement strategies: Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Deliver excellent customer service: Demonstrate a customer-centric mindset by providing exceptional service to clients and responding promptly to inquiries and concerns.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Analytical And Decision-Making Skills, With The Ability To Assess Risk And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing A Large Book Of Business And Achieving Profitable Growth.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Commercial Underwriting, With Specific Experience In Middle Market Multi-Industry Accounts.

  • Strong Communication And Relationship-Building Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Negotiate And Collaborate With Clients, Brokers, And Internal Teams.
