- Evaluate and assess complex commercial risks to determine appropriate underwriting solutions for clients.
- Utilize extensive knowledge and expertise in insurance industry to make strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure effective communication and efficient processes.
- Conduct thorough analysis of underwriting data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and brokers to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Stay updated on industry developments and changes in market conditions to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and assist in their training and development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
- Participate in meetings and presentations to share insights and recommendations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to the growth and success of the Middle Market team through continuous improvement and innovative ideas.
Extensive Experience In Underwriting: A Senior Underwriter, Middle Market Must Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Commercial Lines, Preferably In The Middle Market Segment. This Experience Should Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of Risk Assessment And Pricing For Various Types Of Businesses.
Excellent Analytical Skills: As A Senior Underwriter, Middle Market, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Evaluate Complex Risks And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions. They Should Be Able To Analyze Financial Statements, Loss History, And Other Relevant Information To Determine The Appropriate Coverage And Pricing For A Policy.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Insurance Products: Liberty Mutual Insurance Offers A Wide Range Of Commercial Insurance Products, And A Senior Underwriter, Middle Market Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of These Products. This Includes Knowledge Of Coverage Options, Policy Terms And Conditions, And The Ability To Customize Policies To Meet Clients’ Specific Needs.
Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills: Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential For A Senior Underwriter, Middle Market.
