  1. Evaluate and analyze insurance applications and risk factors to determine appropriate coverage and premiums for healthcare clients.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare clients and brokers to understand their risk management needs and provide tailored solutions.
  3. Conduct thorough risk assessments and make sound underwriting decisions based on industry knowledge and company guidelines.
  4. Monitor and manage existing healthcare accounts to ensure proper risk mitigation and identify opportunities for growth.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims and loss control, to develop and implement risk management strategies for healthcare clients.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to healthcare risk management and incorporate them into underwriting processes.
  7. Utilize data and analytics to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement in risk management strategies.
  8. Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and company policies.
  9. Mentor and train junior underwriters in the healthcare division.
  10. Participate in business development activities and assist in underwriting new business opportunities.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in underwriting practices.
  13. Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and records.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve underwriting processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to establish and maintain a strong presence in the healthcare market.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Risk Management, Insurance, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Risk Management Or Underwriting

  • Professional Designation Such As Certified Professional In Healthcare Risk Management (Cphrm) Or Associate In Risk Management (Arm)

  • Strong Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry Regulations And Risk Management Practices

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Sound Underwriting Decisions Based On Complex Information And Data.
