- Lead and manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development opportunities.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the legal team, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of insurance laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on any changes and communicating them to the team.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as business leaders and compliance officers, to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Utilize program management skills to oversee and coordinate legal projects and initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert on insurance laws and regulations, providing guidance and advice to the legal team and other departments within the company.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support the team's decision-making processes.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the legal team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and professional development within the legal department and the organization as a whole.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In The Insurance Industry, With A Focus On Program Development And Management.
Proven Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team, Including Coaching And Mentoring.
In-Depth Knowledge Of North American Insurance Market And Regulations, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Program-Related Risks And Challenges.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field. Advanced Degree Or Industry Certifications (Such As Cpcu) Preferred.
