  1. Assess and manage risk for clients in the construction industry by conducting thorough underwriting evaluations.
  2. Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  3. Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide timely updates on underwriting decisions.
  4. Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to determine appropriate coverage and pricing for clients.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other industry professionals to drive new business and retain existing accounts.
  6. Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure cohesive and consistent underwriting practices.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in market conditions to make informed underwriting decisions.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing and resolving any inquiries or concerns from clients and brokers.
  9. Utilize technology and underwriting tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  10. Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management to support the growth and success of the Builders Risk team.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Underwriting Experience: A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting, Preferably In The Property Insurance Industry, With A Strong Focus On Builders Risk Policies.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Builders Risk Policies: In-Depth Understanding Of Construction Risk And The Unique Coverage Needs Of Builders Risk Policies, Including Knowledge Of Policy Forms, Endorsements, And Exclusions.

  • Risk Assessment And Analysis: Proven Ability To Assess And Analyze Complex Risks, Identify Potential Issues And Exposures, And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions Based On This Analysis.

  • Customer Service And Relationship Management: Excellent Customer Service Skills And The Ability To Build And Maintain Strong Relationships With Clients, Brokers, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Leadership And Teamwork: Demonstrated Leadership Skills With The Ability To Lead A Team And Work Collaboratively With Colleagues To Achieve Company Objectives. Strong Communication, Negotiation, And Problem-Solving Skills Are Also Essential.
