Excess Casualty Underwriting Officer

Underwrite targeted new and renewal E&S / Non-admitted excess casualty business by reviewing and analyzing insured’s operations, loss history, historical exposures and changes in operations, financials, and other pertinent underwriting information. Solicit input from Actuary, Loss Control, Claims, Legal Counsel and Compliance as required per division guidelines. Review and negotiate policy terms and conditions including manuscript coverages and endorsements. Prepare and present referrals to management to obtain sign off for risks that exceed granted authority. Prepare quotes and binders. Work with centralized operations team to ensure timely policy billing and issuance of policy’s and endorsements. Document underwriting files to divisional standards.
