- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Source and select reliable vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies, while maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, design, and finance, to identify and meet project needs.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of materials to inform purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company and industry standards, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
- Lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure departmental goals are met.
- Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes and systems to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to purchasing and supply chain management.
- Represent the company at industry events and engage in networking opportunities to expand vendor relationships.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely and professional manner.
- Uphold Lennar's commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction in all purchasing activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Purchasing, Preferably In The Construction Or Homebuilding Industry.
Strong Negotiation Skills And The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers.
Proficiency In Procurement Software And Systems, Such As Sap Or Oracle.
Excellent Communication, Organization, And Problem-Solving Skills.
