- Source and procure materials for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Review and analyze purchase orders, contracts, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand project needs and make purchasing decisions accordingly.
- Continuously research and evaluate new suppliers and materials to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate any potential shortages or delays, taking proactive measures to avoid any disruptions in production.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to track and report on purchasing expenses and budget variances.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in market conditions that may impact material costs or availability.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all purchasing activities, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including suppliers, project managers, and other team members, to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline purchasing procedures and increase efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations when handling and storing materials.
- Continuously strive to find cost-saving opportunities and negotiate better deals with suppliers.
- Represent Lennar in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.
- Attend trainings and stay updated on industry best practices and developments in purchasing and supply chain management.
Strong Negotiation And Communication Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Purchasing, Preferably In The Construction Industry.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Experience With Procurement Software.
