- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy of materials data in our systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials for production.
- Monitor and track material usage and make recommendations for inventory adjustments.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs and optimize supply chain processes.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to materials management.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and provide regular reports to management.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for incoming materials, and work with suppliers to resolve any issues.
- Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans.
- Continuously improve and streamline materials management processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train and mentor new team members on materials management processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in materials management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure materials are available for new product launches and changes.
- Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as needed to support the overall goals of the company.
Bachelor's Degree In Materials Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Materials Management, Preferably In The Automotive Industry.
Knowledge Of Materials Testing And Characterization Techniques.
Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems And Supply Chain Processes.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Data-Driven Decisions.
