- Oversee the procurement of materials for production operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
- Manage inventory levels to meet production demands, while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of materials.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to inform purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production needs and ensure materials are available to meet those needs.
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Utilize supply chain management software and tools to track and manage materials.
- Lead and develop a team of materials personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for materials management processes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs in materials management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to materials management.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and finance, to ensure alignment and understanding of materials management processes and goals.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to materials management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes related to materials management.
Bachelor's Degree In Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Materials Management, Preferably In The Automotive Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Supply Chain Processes, Inventory Management, And Procurement.
Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Suppliers.
Proficient In Inventory Management Software And Erp Systems, With The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Strategic Decisions Based On Inventory Levels And Demand Forecasts.
