1. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials to support production and meet customer demands.
2. Oversee the purchasing process, including negotiating with suppliers, evaluating bids, and managing supplier relationships.
3. Ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs and develop production schedules.
5. Monitor and analyze material costs to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, production managers, and other internal departments.
