- Develop and implement company-wide policies and procedures related to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Train and educate employees on EHS protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any EHS concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
- Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures to minimize the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.
- Develop and oversee emergency response plans and drills to ensure preparedness for potential crises.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate EHS updates and initiatives to all levels of the organization.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by promoting best practices and continuously improving EHS processes.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals to promote a high level of performance and engagement.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for EHS initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of EHS programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct regular EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Ehs Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Safety And Environmental Regulations.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Train And Motivate Employees On Safety And Environmental Best Practices.
Certification In Ehs Management, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Environmental Management Systems (Ems), Preferred.
