Sr Specimen Processing Specialist

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Senior Specimen Processing Specialist to join our team at LabCorp. The successful candidate will have a strong background in specimen processing and will be responsible for overseeing the handling and processing of specimens in accordance with established guidelines.The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who has a great attention to detail. They must be able to work independently and in a team setting. To be successful, the Senior Specimen Processing Specialist must possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field; at least three years of experience in a laboratory setting; an understanding of laboratory safety regulations; and experience in specimen processing techniques. In addition, excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the handling and processing of specimens in accordance with established guidelines.

• Provide technical support and guidance to laboratory staff when needed.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth specimen processing.

• Maintain accurate records of specimen processing activities.

• Monitor laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed.

• Develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and efficient specimen processing.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any specimen processing issues.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of specimen processing techniques.
