Specimen Accessioner

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Specimen Accessioner to join our team at LabCorp. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient information and specimen accessioning. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. An understanding of laboratory terminology and specimen tracking software is also preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Accurately and completely accession patient information and specimens.
2. Ensure that specimens are labeled correctly and entered into the laboratory tracking software.
3. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Use medical terminology and laboratory software accurately.
6. Ensure specimens are handled with care and stored properly.
7. Follow all safety protocols and laboratory standards.
8. Work closely with other laboratory staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
9. Monitor specimen inventory and take appropriate action when needed.
10. Assist with any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
