  1. Perform blood draws on patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Verify patient information and accurately label and record specimens.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor with patients.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in phlebotomy.
  8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  9. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures for better efficiency and patient experience.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all phlebotomy procedures.
  11. Assist with training and mentoring new phlebotomy staff.
  12. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients to ensure proper specimen collection and handling.
  13. Monitor inventory and supplies and order as needed.
  14. Adhere to all compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Phlebotomist Should Possess A Current Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Phlebotomist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology To Accurately Label And Handle Blood Specimens.

  • Experience In Venipuncture: Labcorp Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Venipuncture, Including The Collection And Handling Of Blood Specimens.

  • Attention To Detail: A Phlebotomist Must Have Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate Labeling And Handling Of Specimens, As Well As Following Proper Safety Protocols.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Necessary For A Phlebotomist To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Professionals, As Well As To Accurately Document And Report Test Results.
