  1. Perform Blood Draws: Conduct blood draws on patients of all ages using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  2. Maintain Equipment: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working order to ensure accurate test results.
  3. Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  4. Verify Patient Information: Verify patient information, including name, date of birth, and medical history, to ensure accurate testing and proper patient identification.
  5. Label and Transport Samples: Label all samples accurately and transport them to the lab for testing in a timely manner.
  6. Quality Control: Follow quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  7. Communicate with Patients: Communicate with patients in a compassionate and professional manner, providing instructions and answering any questions they may have.
  8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all samples collected and tests performed.
  9. Collaborate with Team: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations in the laboratory.
  10. Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry developments and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Uphold Company Values: Adhere to the company's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.
  12. Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and follow HIPAA regulations.
  13. Assist in Other Duties: Assist with other duties as needed, including but not limited to inventory management, ordering supplies, and training new employees.
  14. Patient Care: Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction, going above and beyond to provide a positive experience for patients.
  15. Adhere to Regulations: Follow all state and federal regulations and policies related to phlebotomy and laboratory operations.

  • Completion Of A Phlebotomy Training Program Or Certification From A Recognized Institution.
