
Phlebotomist
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Phlebotomist to join our team at LabCorp. In this role, you will be responsible for patient blood collection and specimen processing in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing the best patient care possible.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid phlebotomy certification. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting and excellent customer service skills are also required. Knowledge of venipuncture, capillary collection, and specimen processing is highly preferred. Additionally, the ability to use computer systems for data entry and to track specimens is a must. This position requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilites:
- Collect patient blood specimens using venipuncture and/or capillary collection techniques.
- Process specimens for appropriate tests and/or analyses.
- Input data into computer systems to track specimens.
- Follow protocols and safety procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of specimens.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide superior customer service to patients and colleagues.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and guidelines related to patient privacy.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and materials.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Stay up to date on new procedures and technologies.
