Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of tests and procedures in a laboratory setting to ensure accurate results.
  2. Document and maintain detailed records of all tests and results.
  3. Follow established safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Analyze data and draw valid conclusions.
  5. Keep up to date with changes and advances in the field of microbiology.
  6. Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  7. Monitor laboratory stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  8. Provide technical assistance and training to other laboratory staff.
  9. Adhere to established quality control procedures.
  10. Work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
