Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis of clinical specimens for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Maintain laboratory safety regulations and standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and computers.
- Record and report data and results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory technologists in order to ensure accuracy of testing.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and materials.
- Monitor laboratory environment and take appropriate action to ensure sterility, cleanliness, and safety.
- Perform regular quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot and solve laboratory-related problems.
- Keep up to date with advances in the field by reading scientific literature and attending relevant conferences and seminars.
