  1. Conduct microbiological testing and analysis on patient samples in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

  3. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during testing.

  11. Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to maintain and improve technical skills.
  12. Adhere to company policies and regulations, as well as state and federal laws pertaining to laboratory testing.
  13. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers by addressing any concerns or inquiries related to laboratory testing.
  14. Train and mentor new laboratory staff members and students as needed.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt Or Mls) By A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As Ascp Or Amt.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, Preferably In A Hospital Or Reference Lab Setting.

  • Proficiency In Aseptic Technique, Microbial Identification And Susceptibility Testing, And Molecular Diagnostic Methods.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
