- Train and mentor new laboratory staff members and students as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt Or Mls) By A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As Ascp Or Amt.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, Preferably In A Hospital Or Reference Lab Setting.
Proficiency In Aseptic Technique, Microbial Identification And Susceptibility Testing, And Molecular Diagnostic Methods.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
