- Perform various laboratory tasks within the Microbiology department, including but not limited to sample preparation, bacterial culture, and data entry.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory space, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly stored and disposed of according to safety protocols.
- Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and timely completion of laboratory tests and procedures.
- Adhere to all quality control measures and participate in proficiency testing to maintain the highest level of accuracy and precision.
- Collect, label, and track samples accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and handling throughout the testing process.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical or procedural issues that may arise during testing.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Keep detailed records of all laboratory activities, including test results, quality control data, and instrument maintenance logs.
- Remain up-to-date on current laboratory techniques and procedures, as well as any new developments in the field of microbiology.
- Promote a positive and professional work environment by actively participating in team meetings, training sessions, and other departmental activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Microbiology Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Microbiology Is Essential For This Role, As It Ensures The Candidate Has A Solid Understanding Of The Principles And Techniques Used In The Laboratory.
Previous Laboratory Experience: Prior Experience Working In A Microbiology Laboratory, Either Through An Internship Or Employment, Is Highly Desirable. It Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle And Analyze Samples, Follow Protocols, And Work Independently.
