- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring accuracy and precision in test results.

- Analyze and interpret test results, identifying any abnormalities or inconsistencies and taking appropriate action.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Medical Technologist- Microbiology At Labcorp Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Laboratory Sciences And Prepares Individuals For The Technical Demands Of The Job.
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls): Labcorp Requires Its Medical Technologists- Microbiology To Be Certified As Either An Mt Or Mls Through A Recognized Certifying Agency Such As Ascp Or Amt. This Certification Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Education, Experience, And Competency Requirements To Perform The Duties Of The Job.
Experience In Microbiology Laboratory Procedures: Labcorp Prefers Candidates For The Medical Technologist- Microbiology Position To Have Experience In Performing Various Microbiology Laboratory Procedures, Such As Bacterial Cultures, Gram Staining, And Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing.
