  1. Perform laboratory tests and analyses with precision and accuracy.
  2. Conduct routine and complex laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, testing, and result interpretation.
  3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  4. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations and standards.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during testing.
  7. Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals regarding test results and patient care.
  8. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  9. Stay updated on current laboratory techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  10. Adhere to LabCorp's mission, values, and ethical standards in all job duties.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  12. Collaborate with other members of the laboratory team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tests.
  13. Participate in training and mentoring of new Medical Technologists and laboratory staff.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory work area.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Medical Technologist Position At Labcorp. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Strong Foundation In Laboratory Science And Are Prepared For The Technical Aspects Of The Job.

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist: Labcorp May Require Candidates To Have Certification As A Medical Technologist By A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met National Standards For Competency In The Field.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment: Labcorp Will Expect Candidates To Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures, Techniques, And Equipment. This Includes Knowledge Of Safety Protocols, Quality Control Measures, And Troubleshooting Common Laboratory Instruments.
