We are looking for a Medical Technologist with a strong passion for helping people to join our team at LabCorp! As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing highly complex medical laboratory tests and procedures in the areas of toxicology, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and immunohematology. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in a medical laboratory-related field, along with a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification from either the American Medical Technologists, Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, or the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel. They will also have at least two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate should be able to multitask and prioritize tasks, have strong attention to detail, and be able to think critically and solve problems. Responsibilities:
- Perform highly complex medical laboratory tests and procedures in the areas of toxicology, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and immunohematology.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all laboratory tests and results.
- Monitor laboratory processes and procedures to ensure all tests are performed according to established protocols.
- Maintain and update laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Work collaboratively with other laboratory personnel to ensure the smooth running of the laboratory.
- Prepare laboratory samples for analysis and interpret results as necessary.
- Ensure all laboratory records are maintained accurately and up to date.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the laboratory.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation when necessary.
- Participate in laboratory training and quality assurance activities as needed.
- Follow all laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
