
Medical Laboratory Technician
LabCorp is looking for an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing and analysis of samples as well as performing routine maintenance and quality control procedures.The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field, and must be certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in the state of practice. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred, and experience with automated laboratory instrumentation is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail and accuracy. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to patient care and professional development.
Responsibilities of a Medical Laboratory Technician:
• Perform diagnostic testing and analysis of samples in accordance with established laboratory protocols • Perform routine maintenance and quality control procedures in the laboratory • Troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory equipment • Maintain accurate records of laboratory findings and test results • Assist with general laboratory duties as required • Adhere to laboratory safety and infection control policies and procedures • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory work space • Train and mentor new laboratory personnel, as needed • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities • Maintain certification and licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in the state of practice
