  1. Receive, sort, and label laboratory specimens from various sources.
  2. Accurately input patient and specimen information into laboratory information systems.
  3. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  4. Maintain detailed records of specimens received and processed.
  5. Prepare specimens for testing by ensuring proper packaging and transportation.
  6. Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of specimen processing.
  7. Communicate with healthcare professionals and clients to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of specimens.
  10. Continuously monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies needed for specimen processing.
  11. Follow all applicable regulations and guidelines to maintain compliance with industry standards.
  12. Participate in training programs and stay updated on new developments and procedures in specimen processing.
  13. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to specimen processing.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
  15. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Laboratory Specimen Processor Position At Labcorp Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Science And Can Perform Basic Mathematical Calculations.
