Lab Supervisor - Blood Bank

We are looking for an experienced Lab Supervisor to join our Blood Bank at LabCorp. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission of helping people suffer less and live longer, and have a high attention to detail and an aptitude for troubleshooting.The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lab, ensuring that our blood bank meets all safety and quality standards, and providing guidance and support to the staff. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of clinical laboratory processes, a commitment to excellence, and excellent communication skills.To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of five years’ experience in a clinical laboratory. Previous supervisory experience is also required.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the blood bank lab, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
2. Provide guidance and support to staff members
3. Troubleshoot and address any technical or operational issues
4. Monitor lab performance and ensure accuracy of results
5. Schedule and manage staff shifts
6. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies
7. Develop and implement lab policies and procedures
8. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
9. Ensure staff are following safety and quality protocols
10. Maintain records of testing, quality control, and other laboratory activities
11. Train and mentor new staff members
