Lab Supervisor - Blood Bank

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field and must have prior experience in a laboratory setting. This person should also be experienced in Blood Bank laboratory operations and have a commitment to providing excellent customer service.The Lab Supervisor will oversee all activities within the Blood Bank laboratory and will be responsible for supervising a team of laboratory personnel in the day-to-day operations. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent leadership and organizational skills. Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that all Blood Bank laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
2. Supervise and mentor a team of laboratory personnel and provide direction and guidance on all laboratory activities.
3. Ensure all laboratory operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
4. Monitor lab performance to ensure accuracy and quality of results.
5. Develop and monitor procedures and protocols to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance and safety.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
8. Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and continuous process optimization.
9. Identify and resolve operational and technical issues.
10. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
11. Maintain records of laboratory activities and produce reports for management.
12. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
