  1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures on blood samples, including but not limited to complete blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood smear analysis.
  2. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring proper function and accuracy.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.
  4. Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  5. Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment or test results.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate sample processing and results reporting.
  8. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  9. Continuously update knowledge and skills related to hematology and laboratory procedures.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all tests performed.
  11. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper sample collection and handling.
  12. Assist in the training and supervision of new laboratory assistants.
  13. Participate in research and development projects to improve laboratory processes and procedures.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Protect patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt)

  • Previous Experience Working In A Hematology Laboratory Setting

  • Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Measures

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Laboratory Equipment, Such As Cell Counters And Microscopes
