- Perform blood draws on hospitalized patients following proper phlebotomy techniques and protocols.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of blood samples.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of biohazard materials.
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff to provide a positive and professional patient experience.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Handle and transport blood samples in a timely and efficient manner to ensure accurate and timely testing.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the blood collection process.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure proper patient care and sample collection.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and attend training sessions and workshops as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any patient concerns or questions.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Or Equivalent Certification
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Hospital Setting
Proficient In Both Venipuncture And Capillary Blood Collection Techniques
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Ability To Maintain Accurate Records And Documentation Of Specimens Collected
