  4. Accurately label and record collected samples for proper identification and tracking.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding of the phlebotomy process.
  6. Work closely with laboratory staff to prioritize and process collected samples efficiently.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
  8. Keep up-to-date with training and certifications in phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  10. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of test results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  12. Assist in inventory management and ordering of phlebotomy supplies.
  13. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and contribute to a positive work culture within the laboratory team.
  14. Remain knowledgeable about industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
  15. Adhere to LabCorp's policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations, at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program Or Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Prior Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff.

  • Proficient In Performing Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Other Specimen Collection Techniques, With A Focus On Accuracy And Patient Comfort.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Infection Control Measures, As Well As The Ability To Handle And Dispose Of Biohazardous Materials In Accordance With Established Guidelines.
