
Hospital Laboratory Director
The Hospital Laboratory Director is responsible for the overall operations, administration, and quality assurance programs of several departments within designated areas, in accordance with state and federal standards and administrative policies of laboratories. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations. Evaluate competency programs for new and existing staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Implement initiatives to increase employee engagement and retention, while identifying and developing future leaders. Oversee regulatory and accreditation requirements to ensure departmental technical, quality, and administrative activities are compliant with all regulatory requirements. Maintain the required staffing levels to meet performance targets and ensure staff is properly trained.
Minimum 6 years of experience in related field
Medical Technologist preferred along with ASCP or other certification
Must meet CLIA requirements
MBA preferred
Ability to manage a team as well as build relationships with all necessary parties
