  1. Perform various techniques in histology, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining, according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Prepare high-quality tissue slides for microscopic examination by accurately cutting, staining, and mounting tissue samples.
  3. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all specimens and procedures performed, adhering to laboratory policies and regulatory guidelines.
  5. Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to provide timely and accurate results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  6. Follow strict quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of histology by attending trainings, workshops, and conferences.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals in a professional and empathetic manner.
  10. Contribute to the overall success of the laboratory by participating in process improvement initiatives and maintaining a positive work culture.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Histology Laboratory.

  • Proficiency In Various Histology Techniques, Including Tissue Processing, Embedding, Sectioning, Staining, And Immunohistochemistry.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures, As Well As Quality Control And Assurance Practices.
