  1. Prepare tissue samples for examination by pathologists using various histology techniques and procedures.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of samples to contribute to prompt and accurate diagnoses.
  3. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the quality and integrity of samples.
  4. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during sample processing.

  8. Stay updated on new and emerging technologies and techniques in the field of histology.
  9. Maintain and operate laboratory equipment and instruments in accordance with established protocols.
  10. Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  12. Participate in quality control and assurance programs to maintain high standards of laboratory services.
  13. Contribute to the training and education of new staff and students.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Medical Technology, Biology, Or Chemistry.

  • Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Histotechnologist In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Histology Techniques, Including Tissue Processing, Embedding, Cutting, And Staining.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Information Systems And Quality Control Processes.
