Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Histotechnologist to join our team at LabCorp! As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and staining tissue specimens for use in medical research and diagnosis. You will also be expected to maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. In order to be successful in this role, you must have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable working in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology or a related field and at least one year of experience as a Histotechnologist. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference and helping to improve patient care. Responsibilities of a Histotechnologist:

  1. Prepare and stain tissue specimens for medical research and diagnosis.
  2. Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  3. Monitor and evaluate specimens for accuracy and quality.
  4. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
  5. Keep records of materials and specimens used in daily laboratory operations.
  6. Assist in training and supervising new employees.
  7. Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory.
  8. Participate in research projects to help advance the field of histotechnology.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and techniques in histotechnology.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
