As a Histotechnician, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic examination.   1. Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Perform embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting of tissue samples onto slides.
  3. Utilize various techniques and equipment to process and preserve tissue samples.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all samples processed and ensure proper labeling and identification.
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with equipment or samples to ensure accurate results.
  6. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Communicate and collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in histology and implement new techniques and procedures as needed.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  10. Adhere to quality control and assurance standards to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  11. Participate in training and development activities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Identify and report any abnormalities or inconsistencies in sample processing.
  13. Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with laboratory policies and procedures.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic solutions and improving patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Histotechnician (Ht) Or Histotechnologist (Htl) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Chemistry, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Histology Laboratory Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Histology Techniques And Procedures, Including Tissue Processing, Embedding, Sectioning, And Staining.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Measures.
