- Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by following established protocols and procedures.
- Perform embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting of tissue samples onto slides.
- Utilize various techniques and equipment to process and preserve tissue samples.
- Maintain accurate records of all samples processed and ensure proper labeling and identification.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with equipment or samples to ensure accurate results.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate and collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in histology and implement new techniques and procedures as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Adhere to quality control and assurance standards to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Participate in training and development activities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Identify and report any abnormalities or inconsistencies in sample processing.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with laboratory policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic solutions and improving patient care.
Certification As A Histotechnician (Ht) Or Histotechnologist (Htl) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Chemistry, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Histology Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge Of Histology Techniques And Procedures, Including Tissue Processing, Embedding, Sectioning, And Staining.
Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Measures.
