  1. Process tissue samples for diagnostic testing: The Histotechnician will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing tissue samples for diagnostic testing, following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Ensure accuracy and quality control: It is the responsibility of the Histotechnician to ensure that all procedures are performed accurately and with attention to detail, in order to maintain a high level of quality control.
  3. Adhere to safety protocols: The Histotechnician must adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, to maintain a safe working environment.
  4. Maintain laboratory equipment: The Histotechnician will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring that it is in optimal working condition at all times.
  5. Collaborate with team members: The Histotechnician will work closely with other members of the laboratory team, including pathologists and medical technologists, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of tissue samples.
  6. Keep accurate records: The Histotechnician will maintain accurate records of all procedures performed, including sample processing, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Histotechnology Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Histotechnician (Ht) Through The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Histology Laboratory.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Histology Techniques, Equipment, And Procedures.

  • Proficiency In Computer Skills And Ability To Use Laboratory Information Systems.
