Cytotechnologist

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cytotechnologist to join our team at LabCorp. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a passion for providing quality care to our patients. You will bring a strong technical background in cytology, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to work well with a collaborative team. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience in cytology laboratory work. You must also be certified as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as an understanding of laboratory technology, procedures, and regulations. Responsibilities:

1. Perform microscopic examination of body fluids and prepare slides for cell analysis
2. Analyze cells for abnormalities and report findings to the pathologist
3. Adhere to laboratory safety and quality assurance protocols
4. Prepare and maintain laboratory records and documentation
5. Stay up to date with current standards and best practices for cytology
6. Collaborate effectively with other laboratory personnel
7. Maintain current certification with the ASCP
8. Assist with training and development of new cytotechnologists
9. Ensure accuracy, patient safety, and quality of care in all tasks
10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues
