LabCorp is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Cytotechnologist to join our team! This hands-on position requires someone with excellent attention to detail, a passion for science, and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field, as well as prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Responsibilities:
-Perform cytological testing and analysis of specimens to diagnose diseases
-Prepare tissue, cellular and fluid specimens for slide preparation and examination
-Use microscopes, automatic staining devices and other laboratory equipment to perform tests
-Examine slides under high power magnification and record results
-Complete quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of results
-Identify and document morphological changes in cells
-Provide accurate and timely reports of test results
-Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory equipment
-Maintain laboratory records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
-Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed in the laboratory
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety And Quality Control Procedures
Bachelor's Degree In Cytology Or Related Field
Completion Of An Accredited Cytotechnology Program
Ascp Or Equivalent Certification
Previous Experience As A Cytotechnologist
