Job Description

At LabCorp, our Cytogenetic Technologists are integral parts of our team who help shape the future of healthcare. We are looking for individuals who have the technical expertise and passion for genetic testing to join our team. As a Cytogenetic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and analyzing genetic testing and providing accurate results to our clients.The ideal candidate for this role must possess a Bachelor’s degree in cytogenetics, medical technology, molecular biology, or a closely related field, as well as certification as a cytogenetic technologist or equivalent. Additionally, we require at least two years of experience working in a cytogenetics laboratory. An eye for detail and the ability to think independently are essential.We are looking for someone who is excited to join our team and help us shape the future of healthcare. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform and analyze genetic testing and provide accurate results to clients
  2. Record and document results of tests and research
  3. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  4. Develop new testing methods and protocols
  5. Utilize safety procedures in the laboratory
  6. Monitor quality control for accuracy of testing results
  7. Maintain updated knowledge of new genetic testing procedures
  8. Create reports for clients
  9. Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results
  10. Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols
