Job Description

  • Perform complex laboratory tests and accurately interpret results to ensure the quality and safety of blood products for patient transfusions
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technology and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in transfusion medicine
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and prevent potential complications related to blood transfusions
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and adhere to strict quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory procedures and results
  • Continuously develop and enhance transfusion services knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment to ensure the safety of laboratory personnel and patients
  • Communicate effectively with team members, healthcare professionals, and patients to provide accurate and timely information on laboratory results and procedures
  • Comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards to ensure the highest level of quality and compliance in transfusion services
  • Act as a key member of the team and contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the Transfusion Services department.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By A Recognized Accrediting Agency

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Transfusion Services Laboratory
