  1. Conduct molecular oncology tests and experiments accurately and efficiently.
  2. Analyze and interpret results to provide accurate diagnoses for patients.
  3. Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  4. Follow laboratory protocols and safety procedures at all times.
  5. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
  6. Stay current with advancements in molecular oncology and incorporate new techniques and technologies into laboratory processes.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory procedures and findings.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies.
  9. Adhere to quality control standards and ensure accuracy and precision of results.
  10. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients regarding test results and any follow-up testing.
  11. Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new tests and protocols.
  12. Mentor and train junior laboratory technologists.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Uphold LabCorp's ethical and professional standards at all times.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and efficiency in the laboratory.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Equivalent By A Recognized Accrediting Agency (E.g. Ascp Or Amt)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably With Molecular Oncology Testing

  • Strong Understanding Of Molecular Biology Techniques And Principles

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Regulations And Proficiency In Troubleshooting Technical Issues In A Laboratory Setting
