Responsibilities:

1. Collect, process, and analyze specimens in accordance with established laboratory procedures and protocols.
2. Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and equipment maintenance records.
3. Perform quality control procedures and document results to ensure accuracy of laboratory results.
4. Prepare reagents, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
5. Participate in continuing education activities to stay current on new laboratory methods and techniques.
6. Ensure accuracy of laboratory results by performing laboratory tests and evaluating results.
7. Maintain laboratory records, logs, and documentation in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
8. Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
9. Provide accurate and timely laboratory results to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
10. Communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding laboratory results and testing.
