- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Perform routine health checks and assist with veterinary procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of animal care, treatments, and observations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and guidelines for animal care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal housing areas and facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the well-being and welfare of all laboratory animals.
- Assist with the ordering and stocking of supplies and equipment.
- Participate in training and educational programs to stay current on animal care techniques and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and researchers to provide updates on animal health and behavior.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling animals and working in the laboratory.
- Report any animal welfare concerns or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company and its values.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures for animal care and welfare.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working In An Animal Care Facility Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Animal Behavior And Basic Husbandry Techniques.
Ability To Lift And Carry Up To 50 Pounds And Stand For Extended Periods Of Time.
Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
